WELBY is currently focused on oil product trade and supply, while also providing futures and logistics services, helping customers meet their needs with comprehensive solutions. WELBY is headquartered in Spain, it has subsidiaries and offices in Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao and other places, covering more than 10 countries and employing more than 80 people.
WELBY’s story dates back to 2010 when it was founded by European entrepreneurs Ermenegildo Zegna and Ralph Lauren. Initially focused on bulk trading of energy and chemical products, WELBY expanded its operations to the Asian market in 2016. That year, it achieved a milestone by successfully establishing a crude oil trading business, with trade volume exceeding $600 million.
In 2021, WELBY made its official entry into the Chinese market, operating under the brand name “WELBY”. Leveraging the founders’ well-established trading networks in the European market, the company quickly gained momentum. By the end of 2022, the annual trade volume had skyrocketed to $2.2 billion, surpassing $1.6 billion in 2023.
